For Aaron and Nathan, the next few weeks mean doctoral submissions - the first time round in Aaron's case, second time round in Nathan's. Owen's busy with doctoral work as well as general Church activities. Nathan's also undergoing a slight operation on his back this Saturday coming. Your prayers would be hugely appreciated, for all these things!
What does this mean for September, leading into the beginning of October? What have we got on our proverbial plate?
Nathan will, all being well, continue with his Doctor Who reviews. Owen's got an essay in the works. Aaron has a couple more items in his Travel Writing series yet to be published. Then, towards the end of the month, we'll be hopefully hosting a kind of 'roundtable' discussion on the what Collin Hansen in 2009 termed the "Young, Restless and Reformed" movement: 20-something guys who, for one reason or another, have 'discovered' the Reformed theological tradition. We're going to do a sort of appraisal of the YRR phenomenon in an informal (and hopefully interesting!) fashion. As three young men who seemingly fit the stereotype, how do we account for its origins, its varied expressions, as well as its recent troubles? God willing, it'll be something to look forward to.
Into October and beyond, we've already bashed around a few ideas. We think you're going to like what we've got in store.
We've said this before on Facebook - but - we want to say a huge 'thank you' for reading this blog, for liking and sharing our posts and engaging with us on Twitter, etc. We're under no illusion; we're not celebrities and this isn't some 'famous blog'. (Apparently they exist, somewhere.) We simply love that some people have enjoyed some of what we've written. Such an encouragement. And such a blessing.
Love & peace,
